| A used 1410-set with 2 Porsche 911, one red and one "ocker", was sold on an auction for 567 euro.
It was bought by a german collector, who obviously appreciates this set very much. Don't be surprised if you see the same set for sale again, but for a couple of hundred euros more. |

Ford McNamara
| The 1319 Ford McNamara is available as a simplyfied version, in german called "Spar version". This car was only sold during the last years in the 1400 set. In this set there was a white and a yellow car. The yellow car could be bought separately, but the white car could only be bought together with the set. This is why the white "Spar" version is more rare today, and has been sold for 442 euro. |

| Also among other vendors, extremely expensive cars can be found. One of them is the Scalextric C70 Type 59 Bugatti from the 60's. This was sold at an auction a few years ago. Price : 6000 USD!! The car was well used and not complete. |

| The most expensive real new car ever, is the Mercedes CLK-GTR. They only made 25 of them, and the price is 5.400.000 USD.
The most expensive used car ever, is also a Mercedes. The car was equipped with a 2,5 litre fuel injection engine, 257 horse powers at 8250 rpm. The high rpm
coused problems with the closing of the valves, so the engine was equipped with "desmodromisk valve control".
A real Mercedes W 196, the fastest car in the years 1954 and 1955, was sold to a private person in 1991 for 22.060.000 USD ! |
